Guyanese-born chef who moved to New York at 17 and trained in culinary arts with a specialisation in pastry. He founded Canje restaurant in Austin, Texas — named after Guyana's national bird — to bring authentic Afro-Caribbean cuisine to a wider audience. He is a partner in six restaurants across the United States.
