“Guyana's first female dancehall monarch”
Nesta Nelson made history as Guyana's first female dancehall monarch and was a 14-time Calypso Queen before winning the Junior Calypso Monarch in 2007 and 2008. Her musical journey began at age three, and she was raised by her mother Bridget Nelson, a former music teacher and vocal coach. She continues to evolve across soca, dancehall, and R&B.
