“Port Mourant's magical batsman”
Born in Port Mourant, Berbice in 1935, Rohan Kanhai was one of the most exciting batsmen of the 1960s. Famous for his unorthodox "falling hook" shot, he played 79 Tests for the West Indies, scored 6,227 runs at 47.53, and amassed 86 first-class centuries. An ICC Hall of Famer and a hero of the 1975 World Cup.
