Dr. Sonia Noel is the leading fashion designer in Guyana and founder of Guyana Fashion Week, the second-largest fashion event in the Caribbean. Her signature lattice motif, inspired by colonial-era Guyanese architecture, defines her Mariska Designs label which she opened in Georgetown in 2001. She has shown collections in Miami, New York, Toronto, London, and throughout the Caribbean.
