Known as the Guyana Baboo, Terry Gajraj is Guyana's most recorded artist with over 30 albums and hundreds of songs spanning chutney, soca, and Indo-Caribbean fusion. Born in Fyrish village near the Corentyne River, he began performing at age five and launched his solo career in New York in 1990. He became the first Caribbean artist to perform at the Bollywood Music Awards.
