With over 56 years dedicated to steelpan music, Roy Geddes co-founded the Silvertones Steel Orchestra in 1964 with Freddie Massay. The band performed for Queen Elizabeth II and reigned as national champions for a decade. He remains the elder statesman of Guyanese pan, mentoring new generations of pannists.
