“Two-time World Cup-winning captain”
Born in Georgetown in 1944, Sir Clive Lloyd captained the West Indies from 1974 to 1985, leading the team to two Cricket World Cup victories in 1975 and 1979 and a record 27-match unbeaten streak. At 6'5" with a powerful left-handed batting style, he was the first West Indian to earn 100 international caps. Knighted in 2020 for services to cricket.
