Born on Valentine's Day 1989 in Georgetown, Timeka Marshall is one of Guyana's most prominent female artists, blending reggae and dancehall rhythms with R&B vocal styling. She broke into the industry after winning a telecoms jingle competition and was signed at the 2007 Barbados Music Seminar. She has won Best New Artist and R&B Artist of the Year at the Guyana Music Awards.
